President Jokowi Visits Space X - Elon Musk to Come to Indonesia in November

NusantaraPol - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Space X in Boca Chica, United States, Saturday (14/05/2022). On that occasion, President Jokowi discussed and reviewed the Space X rocket production plant with Elon Musk, the founder of Space X.

The President arrived at the Stargate Space X Building at around 10:30 am local time and was greeted by Elon Musk. President Jokowi and Elon Musk had a meeting before going around to see the Space X rocket production facility.

The President said that this visit was a follow-up to his order to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to speak with Elon.

"Following up to my order to talk to Elon about investment, technology, innovation, and now I'm here and meet directly with Elon to discuss future collaborations," said the President.

On the same occasion, Elon Musk said he was very interested in the future of Indonesia. He noted that the country looks very optimistic and has positive energy.

"I think Indonesia has great potential, and I think we, through Tesla and Space X, will try some collaborations with Indonesia," said Elon Musk.

Elon stated that his party would look closely at Indonesia's various potential and follow up with cooperation with the country.

"Moreover, Indonesia has a large population and continues to grow. This is good because we need a lot of people in the future,” said Elon.

"I think he is very interested in coming to Indonesia immediately, and I have told him to come to Indonesia," said President Jokowi.

Responding to President Jokowi's invitation to come to Indonesia, Elon Musk said he plans to go in November this year.

"Hopefully in November. Thank you for the invitation," said Elon.
